I conducted the annual air conditioning maintenance today. The existing air filter was replaced with a new MERV 13 pleated filter to ensure proper airflow. Using a Fieldpiece SC660 clamp meter, I took amp draw readings on the compressor and condenser fan motors - all values were within specified tolerances per the manufacturer's guidelines. The contactor contacts showed no excessive pitting or burning. The outdoor condenser coils were brushed clean of any built-up debris. The refrigerant charge was checked via superheat and subcooling measurements against the unit's charging charts and found to be holding at the proper level. All electrical connections were tightened, and the thermostat was checked for proper operation. The air conditioning system is now ready for efficient cooling performance throughout the upcoming season.
