I called American Star yesterday, at about 3:45 because the last few nights were so cold. I had to turn the heat on for the first time since it was tuned up a couple weeks ago. They said that they would send Alexa Madison and that she would here between four and 6 o’clock, then at 4 o’clock she pulled into the driveway. I explained to her that I turned on the heat a few days ago and the fan hasn’t gone off since, when I turned the temperature up, the heater would work, but then when we got to the set temperature. It would blow cold air, the rest of the time . Alexa looked at my thermostat and said that the fan was on high so that when the heat went off, the fan would keep blowing on high making the house cold again. She adjusted the fan speed and went downstairs and looked at the furnace she said that she had to clean out a filter, when she did these two things, the furnace was working perfectly again. But I wish I would’ve called sooner so that I didn’t pay to have the fan blowing on high for the two days that it was so cold. Fortunately, Alexa knew exactly what to do when she looked at the thermostat and she was able to repair it in a short time.
